Storm Benjamin is set to hit parts of the UK from Thursday, bringing heavy rain (up to 50 mm in some areas) and gale-force gusts potentially reaching 60–70 mph, especially along coastal and exposed regions.
The Met Office has issued yellow weather warnings across southern and eastern England, as well as parts of Wales.
Storm Benjamin carries multiple risks — wind damage, heavy rain/flooding, power outages
At Resolving Sites, our network remains on standby and ready to support our clients throughout the storm period — ensuring emergency response and contractor dispatch continue seamlessly.
✅ Before the storm hits:
Secure or bring inside loose outdoor items (garden furniture, bins, trampolines) so they don’t become projectiles in high winds.
- Check gutters, drains and downpipes – heavy rain means increased risk of flooding.
- Consider moving vehicles away from exposed places (under trees, near walls) in case of high winds or falling debris.
- Make sure you have torch, batteries, phone charger and basic essentials in case of power cuts.
